Joshua enlisted in the United States Army in 2002 and participated in the first days of Operation Iraqi Freedom. After being honorably discharged in 2004, he attended Michigan State University, receiving a BA in Religious Studies in 2006. He also studied at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, and the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, and was awarded an MA in Theology and Christian Ministry in 2012. He then worked as a director of religious education, a youth minister, and as a high school theology teacher, and subsequently as Director of Catholic Ministry at the Citadel. He returned to Franciscan University to study psychology and in 2024 was awarded an MA in Clinical Mental Health and serves as a member of the Chi Sigma Iota honor society.
Joshua works with individuals of various age levels and excels with adults who have served as veterans or first responders. His expertise is centered in the treatment of phobias, anxiety, depression, and particularly deep-seated traumas. While in session, Joshua utilizes a variety of therapeutic tools.
